“The warmth, hospitality and willingness of the ranch hosts to accommodate the artists on this project made the whole experience so much richer for me.”
“I was raised on a farm in Southern Saskatchewan where ‘walking the land’ was a normal and frequent occurrence. Walking the hills and trails on the host ranches caused an unexpected flood of memories and triggered a deep sense of nostalgia that I will tap into for inspiration.”
“I was astonished by how intimately the hosts knew every corner of their ranch. I felt their sense of stewardship, respect and accountability towards the land.”
“One of the ultimate highlights for me was going on a trail ride on Home Ranch with Duncan the cowboy. It was magical sitting on a bluff overlooking the spread of Kananaskis country below us.”
