Roy Hinz
The Canadian Wilderness comes to life in the original stone sculptures of Roy Hinz: bears hunt, cougars stalk, trout leap, and orcas emerge from the spray as images captured in stone.
Roy was born in the interior of British Columbia, raised in northern Alberta and now works from his studio on an acreage in Spruce Grove, Alberta. He's always been an outdoorsman with a fascination for nature and an observant eye, which led him quite naturally to his passion.
"I had experimented with other art medium's but it wasn't until I drew a file across a piece of raw stone that I knew I'd found it."
His work can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada, United States, Germany, Australia, China, Saudi Arabia and other countries throughout the world.
