Shannon Lawlor
A native of Canada, Shannon resides in the province of Alberta where traditional bridle horse culture is strong. Formative years embraced this culture leading to her expertise as an acknowledged horsewoman. As an artist, she developed discipline and ability to capture infinite moments of ranching experiences in depth and detail in her brush strokes. She is skilled in the saddle and at the easel.
Shannon’s art combines anatomical accuracy with historical authenticity. Her images portray the working stock horse and pay tribute to working horsemen and ranching families maintaining old traditions throughout North America. Her style is intense and dramatic.

Recent acknowledgements include numerous International Best of Show, People’s Choice, President’s Choice and 1st Place awards. She has participated in many invitational shows including Phippen Museum, Greeley Stampede, Cattlemen’s Western Art Show, Calgary Stampede and Mountain Oyster Club.
