Judy James

Judy was born in Castlegar, B.C. and raised in the Caribou Centre interior city, Prince George. She resides in the East Kootenay town of Elkford.  Judy is well known for her acrylic Shale Rock paintings using East Kootenay shale rock as her canvas.  Judy focused on landscape but now includes a variety of wildlife found in the Rocky Mountains.  She excels at painting spontaneously, starting with no predetermined plan  to produce original, unique pieces.
