Frances Andreana

Frances Andreana is a member of the Gwich'in Nation, Fort McPherson, NT. Her mother left the Arctic in the 1940's and initially settled in the Ottawa Valley. Frances was born in Belleville, Ontario. Frances and her husband live on a rural property that backs onto a conservation area. Her initial introduction to watercolour painting in 2007 was on a botanical level. Her artwork reflects nature’s beauty and also incorporates Aboriginal themes and symbols.
