Kimi J. Rutz, President – Nanatari Ltd.

A professional engineer with a natural skill and love for the kitchen, Kimi created her company, “Nanatari”, in July, 2009 to share her passion for cooking and baking with others. The guiding principle is simple: when we enjoy food prepared with love and gratitude, we nourish our souls as well as our bodies.

Food has been her life-long passion. A native Albertan, she grew up on a farm in northern Alberta where food was harvested and prepared by hand, and home-cooked meals brought generations of the family together. Today, she feels the calling to share the joy and fulfillment that comes with the process of preparing good and simple foods at home.

Her creative kitchen skills were nurtured by her Mother; supplemented by courses in cake decorating and specialty foods; reading, collecting cookbooks and recipes added to her knowledge.  Years of kitchen experience with inventing delicious dishes for friends and family gives Kimi the background to teach ‘the lost art of home cooking.’
