Carolyn calls herself a late bloomer! Her motto is “it is never too late to bloom”.

Her work covers a wide range of styles from swing and country rock to light jazz and on through bluegrass and blues.  Her shows are a constant source of surprise as she moves from one style to another and from humour to powerful ballads. 

Her work has been picked up and recorded by a variety of artists; music genres and projects.  This includes cajun, bluegrass, roots, choral, Christmas, symphonic and musicals.

Carolyn’s voice and writing are reminiscent of Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt, Carol King, Joan Baez and Canada’s own Connie Kaldor.

Carolyn writes songs that are clear, and powerful. She looks for the style of music that will best tell the story and then creates a song experience that contains the plot, the characters, and the emotion needed to keep an audience’s complete attention.

Carolyn’s band features her husband Joe Harley on bass; Robb Mann on lead guitar and harmonies and Craig West on violin, mandolin and harmonies.

Carolyn has just finished her second CD called Roots Eclectic which is getting an enthusiastic response.

After a recent concert a member of the audience approached Carolyn and said he thought she was “the complete package”.  He loved her songs, her voice and her stage personality.

With her band Carolyn Harley & The Davidsons there is always an energy in the room that is contagious.
