Maureen-Joy was raised on a ranch south west of Williams Lake, B.C. in Cariboo Country. Maureen's love of horses found her spending every available hour on horseback, enjoying the freedom of country life. Evening time was spent listening to her Father playing the harmonica and fiddle, or listening to "The Son's of the Pioneers" records, both giving her an early appreciation of music.
Maureen-Joy competed in rodeos, and was a consistent winner on the horseshow circuit. She has made television appearances, performed at fairs, rodeos and prisons throughout Canada and the U.S.
In her latest CD "The Leather, The Dust" you will find a collaboration of Maureen's musical and vocal talents along with Cowboy Poet Jesse Colt's latest offering.
