WESTERN HOSPITALITY SINGERS

WESTERN HOSPITALITY SINGERS is an all male a cappella singing group from Calgary, Alberta.  Having been together since the fall of 1986, the group has grown to over 30 singers.  Our motto is ‘Excellence in Close Harmony’ and we enjoy performing a wide variety of musical styles from barbershop, gospel, and traditional to contemporary and western.

The group is a chartered chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is known as the Calgary Foothills Chapter.  This men’s chorus has been very successful in barbershop competitions and has placed first in the Evergreen District’s Division III (Alberta and Montana) contests almost every year it has competed since 1991.  WESTERN HOSPITALITY SINGERS has had the good fortune to be able to travel and sing, and has performed in Salt Lake City, Anaheim, Columbus, Spokane, Seattle, and Vancouver as well as in several cities and towns throughout Alberta and British Columbia.  Just this past summer the chorus was able to have 24 singers attend a week long music school just outside of Kansas City and it was a very memorable experience.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at McDougall United Church (8516 Athabasca Street, SE Calgary).  For more information about booking the group for a performance or for auditions, contact:
